Christie Plaisance

Chef de Cuisine Christie Plaisance crafts sophisticated small plates at Bouligny Tavern, a retro-styled gastropub on the fringe of the Garden District. Originally from St. Charles Parish, Chef Christie credits her love of food to her family, who owned a restaurant in her hometown of Luling. She began her career in New Orleans cooking with Chef Frank Brigtsen, then worked in the kitchen of the venerable Commander’s Palace restaurant, becoming the famed restaurant’s first female line cook.
